ViRexx Medical Corp. is an Edmonton, Alberta based biotechnology company focused on the development of novel therapeutic products for the treatment of cancer and chronic viral infections. ViRexx's most advanced programs include drug candidates for the treatment of ovarian cancer, chronic Hepatitis B & C and solid tumors.
The lead product from the AIT™ platform is OvaRex® MAb, a therapy for late-stage ovarian cancer. OvaRex® MAb is currently the subject of a pivotal Phase III clinical trial at more than 60 sites in the United States. ViRexx has licensed to United Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ: UTHR), exclusive rights for development and commercialization of OvaRex® MAb and four other monoclonal antibodies worldwide, but ViRexx has retained rights to most member nations of the European Union and certain other countries. ViRexx has established strategic relationships with, Medison Pharma, Ltd. and Genesis Pharma S.A. for certain European and Middle-East Countries.
